The OSHA Education Center at The University of Texas at Arlington is the top-ranked OSHA Training Institute Education Center in the country. Safety and Health Authorized Trainer

This course incorporates an overview of instructional strategies, design, and practices for adult learning settings. Successful completion of the course and written and performance examinations will allow the participant to be recognized as an UTA Authorized Trainer.

Oklahoma Workers’ Memorial Day Event 2018

On Thursday, April 26, Oklahoma City Area Director, David Bates, and the Oklahoma Commissioner of Labor, Melissa Houston, will read the names of all Oklahoma workers killed in on-the-job accidents in 2017. The event will take place at 11:00 AM at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

In partnership with the Region VI OSHA Office, the Region VI OSHA Education Centers are offering a free presentation to raise awareness and understanding of silica. Focus will be placed on background/awareness, compliance by industry, and best practices. The video will be available for viewing March 5 - 9. Registration is required.

SSH shield

The Specialist in Safety and Health (SSH) is designed to give participants the foundational knowledge they need in the safety field, with an emphasis on their choice of industry.


Offered in two major industry tracks, the CSHO provides a solid and broad-based safety and health education in a curricula of OSHA Training Institute courses.


Often, EHS responsibilities fall on the same person in an organization. Stay on top of your game by earning your SHEP certification by completing a full complement of coursework in safety and health, environmental, and risk management.

The MC is our most advanced level of certification. Its foundation is the Management System Design for EHS course which features one-on-one mentoring by our instructors.
