This course introduces participants to the Energy-Based Safety framework and the Safety Classification and Learning (SCL) Model developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI).
The program equips participants with tools to identify, classify, and control hazardous energy sources across systems and operations. Learners will apply the SCL model to analyze incidents, evaluate energy control effectiveness, identify energy-based performance indicators, cross-reference SCL outcomes with injury rates and near-miss data, develop implementation roadmap for organizational adoption, and enhance learning from events.
