Course Description




In partnership with Model Teaching, an industry leader in supporting educators, this course will help you explore the three main types of assessments—pre-assessment, formative assessment, and summative assessment—and learn how to differentiate them for gifted students. Model Teaching's Mission is to Improve student performance by directly supporting teachers with quality content and resources. The course covers the importance of different methods of assessment in education, how to use diverse assessment methods to effectively gauge and support the growth of gifted students, and the importance of differentiating the product of instruction in your class. You will also develop a plan for implementing and designing assessments, incorporating these strategies in your classroom, and ensuring that assessments foster higher-order thinking and continuously inform your instruction about your gifted students.
