Registration is open for Texas City and County Employees! To reach the national goal of zero transportation officials cannot wait for something to happen before taking action. Maintenance and construction workers who are on the road daily provide a great asset to help identify potential safety issues. This workshop will focus on maintenance safety solutions construction and maintenance personnel can implement on a daily basis. It will focus on safety issues related to signs and supports, vegetation control and drainage features, using the FHWA documents: Vegetation Control for Safety, A Guide for Local Highway and Street Maintenance Personnel, Maintenance of Drainage Features for Safety, A Guide for Local Street and Highway Maintenance Personnel and Maintenance of Signs and Sign Supports: A Guide for Local Roads Maintenance Personnel as the basis. Important Note - You must work for a Texas City or County to register for this course. Please include your city/county email address when registering.
