COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This comprehensive training covers both the technical and practical aspects of underground utility line locating and marking, including applicable state laws, standards, and regulations. Designed for experienced employees whose job responsibilities may require them to perform line locating activities as part of their assigned duties, the course combines classroom instruction with hands-on outdoor field training to provide participants with a thorough understanding of utility locating fundamentals from start to finish. Special emphasis is placed on the operation and mastery of electronic detection equipment, as well as troubleshooting techniques used to resolve complex utility locating challenges.

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:
• Fundamentals of Line Locating and Marking
• Review of Related Laws, Standards, and Regulations
• Mastery of Electronic Detection Equipment
• Excavation Safety, Troubleshooting Techniques, and Best Practices

CERTIFICATE:
Upon successfully passing the written and field tests, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
