Have you always wanted to understand what makes poetry different from ordinary language? Or do you write poetry, and want to delve deeper into the structure and history that shapes your work? In this course, participants will explore form and pattern in traditional poetry, as well as how to express themselves in free verse. They will explore the work of established and emerging poets and will build a small body of their own work throughout the course. Participants will have the opportunity to have samples of their work critiqued each week.
