People Powered Safety: Applying Human Dynamics for Injury Prevention
32 Hours | $995Contract Price: $11,000
This spirited, research-based training course will specify practical ways to facilitate the self-motivation needed to achieve and sustain a Total Safety Culture. An injury-free culture requires people to do the right things for safety when working and driving, this requires self-accountability and self-motivation. This is for everyone, it includes the principles and procedures which can be applied beyond safety to build trust and caring to improve the overall quality of conversations, relationships, coaching and risk perceptions in the workplace. This training extends and refines the content in behavior based safety by addressing the person-based factors to improve safety on the job. We focus on thoughts and attitudes that can influence safe behavior, drawing on extensive research to discuss the psychology of safety before focusing on four key skills that promote safety- Acting, Coaching, Thinking, and Seeing. This training will help guide and educate people on social influence, which will improve attitude and behavior, as well as the ABC model of behavior looking at social skills and training for coaching. We also address communication skills, how to communicate effectively, persuading and teaching people to do the safe behavior. We will also examine how to properly collect and analyze behavioral data, how to assess where people are and goal setting, how to set smart goals. This training coursed is both a psychological study and helpful guide for achieving the Total Safety Culture you seek for your organization.
