Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans
In this course, students will learn how to manage the complexities of storm water management and relate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance to federal, state and local laws. The focus of the course is to offer practical solutions to factors that contribute to pollution of our nation’s waters.
In addition to presentations of subject matter, students are assigned case studies, reading material and quizzes designed to build knowledge, skills and abilities in this vital field.
This course will answer the following questions:
- How can the implementation of storm water management principles ensure safe clean waters for future generations?
- What specific practices are essential for those who contribute to polluting the waters of the US.
- What are the regulatory factors in know what are acceptable practices for storm water management?
During this course, you will be challenged to understand why and how storm water is the key contributor to water quality in the US.
