Maintenance and construction workers who are on the road daily provide a great asset to help identify potential safety issues. This workshop will focus on maintenance safety solutions construction and maintenance personnel can implement on a daily basis. It will focus on safety issues related to signs and supports, vegetation control and drainage features, using the FHWA documents: Vegetation Control for Safety, A Guide for Local Highway and Street Maintenance Personnel, Maintenance of Drainage Features for Safety, A Guide for Local Street and Highway Maintenance Personnel and Maintenance of Signs and Sign Supports: A Guide for Local Roads Maintenance Personnel as the basis.
