This course provides facility managers with the tools required to better address the management of solid wastes (including industrial and municipal hazardous and non-hazardous) It will guide you in making environmentally-responsible decisions while working in partnership with state and tribal regulators as well as the public. Learn the primary regulations for industrial and non-hazardous wastes, how to classify your waste streams, and understand the potential risks they pose. Includes an introduction to recycling and prevention of solid waste to save money and lower your risk level.
Note: This course is a combination of two topics - Solid Waste (402a) and Hazardous Waste (402b). Completion of each topic (402a and 402b) will count as an elective towards the SHEP Certification Program. It is not required that each topic be taken chronologically.
