CEE 412 - Pollution Prevention Workshop

The Waste Reduction Policy Act (WRPA) requires Pollution Prevention (P2) planning for facilities that are a Large Quantity Generator, Small Quantity Generator of hazardous waste or facilities that report on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Form R.

If you are composing a new P2 plan or renewing your current P2 plan, you have an opportunity to:

~ Increase Efficiency

This workshop will give you strategies on how to improve efficiency while decreasing or eliminating pollution. Experts in pollution prevention, environmental management systems (EMS), environmental regulations, and energy efficiency conduct an interactive workshop with classroom exercises that will help you use P2 strategies to improve your bottom line.

In previous years, participants reported savings of over $200,000 by implementing pollution prevention practices; they eliminated over 11,000 pounds of pollution, and reported improvement in compliance, energy use and water conservation.

This workshop will benefit individuals from large and small companies; it is geared towards:

~ Environmental, Health, and Safety Managers
~ Plant Managers
~ Production Personnel
~ Engineers or Related Professionals


The Region VI OSHA Education Center is conducting a three day course in conjunction with this workshop; CEE402 - Pollution Prevention and Lean Principles. After attending the two day workshop for just $195 you can stay for the third day for an in-depth training on lean manufacturing, implementing P2 plans and other green business opportunities.

Completion of this course can be applied as one of your electives towards the Safety, Health, and Environmental Professional (SHEP) certification.
