Planning Work Zone Traffic Control


COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This advanced course is designed to familiarize supervisors and planners with the higher level procedures used to make decisions regarding work zone traffic control.


    COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:
  • Components of a typical work zone
  • Designing a series of traffic control plans that meet the requirements of the November 2012 TMUTCD
  • Pavement edge drop-off treatment procedures
  • Procedures for conducting day and night traffic control setup inspections
  • The importance of proper record keeping

CERTIFICATE:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion from UTA's Public Works Institute.

CONTINUING EDUCATION:
This course has been approved for 12 continuing education credit hours by the County Judges & Commissioners Association of Texas.
