Medical Coding and Billing Specialist
Medical Coding and Billing Specialists ensure that doctors, patients, and insurance companies are billed the correct amount for the services they rendered/ received. Medical Administrative Assistants perform general tasks like answering the phone, greeting patients, ordering supplies, sorting mail, bookkeeping, creating invoices, and maintaining patient medical records.Learn the fundamentals of medical coding and billing and start an exciting new career in the Healthcare Industry. The course includes administrative front-office procedures, medical terminology and anatomy, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS Coding. Professionalism and confidentiality are emphasized.
Total hours: 120 hours, NO externship required/provided.
Tuition includes: textbook(s) and the Certified Billing & Coding Specialist exam (optional Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam is $117).
Orientation: held on the first day of class. We will go over everything you need to submit at this time.
