Patient Care Technician
Through classroom and practical instruction, the student will learn to assist with in-patient and out-patient care. Topics include bedside care, obtaining vital signs and measurements, collecting blood samples, and recording electrocardiograms.The PCT program consists of three components:
1. Certified Nurse Aide
2. EKG Technician
3. Phlebotomy Technician
Classroom hours: 220
Tuition includes: textbooks(s), Health Careers Institute ID badge, one set of scrubs, drug test, CPR training and CNA State Certification exam, EKG Technician Certification exam, and Phlebotomy Technician certification exam.
Orientation: held on the first day of class. We will go over everything you need to submit, as well as discuss externship placement at this time.
