Clinical Medical Assistant
The Clinical Medical Assistant course prepares participants to work in private medical practices, hospitals, medical clinics, and other medical facilities. Participants will learn how to schedule medical procedures, take patient medical histories, update patient medical files, measure and record vitals, administer EKG/ECGs, instruct patients on medication usage, collect lab specimens, sterilize medical instruments, plus much more.Classroom hours: 140
Tuition includes: Textbooks(s), UTA-EEC ID badge, one set of scrubs, drug test, CPR training and the NHA CCMA certification exam.
Orientation: We will go over everything you need to submit and answer all of your questions on the first day of class.
PLEASE NOTE:
Clinical Medical Assistant participants are not required to complete an externship in order to be eligible for certification.
As a result, externships are no longer assigned as part of the program. Participants will develop the required skills through structured classroom instruction aligned with certification standards. Participants choosing to complete an externship must independently secure their own placement. Program staff will assist with onboarding after a site has been confirmed.
