Hazard & Accident Analysis Techniques for Safety Engineers

32 Hours | $695
Contract Price: $8,000

System safety engineering methods are introduced, with emphasis on application of these methods, including FMEA / FMECA, fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, cause-consequence analysis, hazard and operability analysis, and common cause failure analysis. Addresses probability models to accurately predict risk and support decision theory, and risk quantification and assessment. Knowledge of the effects of hazards (fire, explosion, electrical, kinetic, chemical/biological release, radiation) and engineering and mathematical models and methods used to assess the impact of a hazardous condition. Ability to use system safety and safety engineering analysis to determine the probability a hazardous condition contributes to the occurrence/outcome of an accident.
