UTA Teen Academies are specialized, invite-only programs created for highly motivated teens who are ready for advanced, immersive summer learning experiences. These academies offer exclusive access to expert faculty, innovative projects, and real-world learning that goes beyond a traditional summer camp. This year we are proud to offer 2 Teen Academies: Entry to Engineering (Grades 6-8) and BioFORCE Summer Academy (Grades 9-12). See below for more information on each camp.
Entry to Engineering Teen Academy (Grades 6-8)
Presented in partnership with UTA’s College of Engineering
Tuition: $495 | One-Week Day Academy
Location: 416 Yates St, Arlington, Texas (On UTA Campus)
Dates: June 22-26
The Entry to Engineering Teen Academy provides high school students with an authentic preview of engineering pathways and college life at UTA. Through interactive lectures, guided lab activities, and collaborative design challenges, students explore how engineers develop creative solutions to real-world problems.
Campers gain exposure to multiple engineering disciplines while engaging with UTA faculty and industry professionals, touring engineering facilities, and experiencing how engineering concepts translate into real-world innovation.

Dates: June 22-26 or July 20-24 (2 Weeks to Choose From)
The BioFORCE Summer Academy introduces high school students to the fundamentals of biopharmaceutical development and advanced biomanufacturing. Through lectures, guided lab modules, and facility tours, students gain exposure to real-world biotechnology practices.
Participants explore upstream and downstream processes, microbiology and cell culture techniques, and industry-standard laboratory workflows while completing hands-on modules in cleanroom protocols, microscopy, transformation, chromatography, and aseptic technique.
