TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPERVISOR REFRESHER COURSE
8 HOURS

This 8-hour course is only for those who have taken the 16-hour Traffic Control Supervisor course in the previous 3-year cycle. The course meets the TxDOT Special Provision to Item 7 standard for Refresher Course for Contractor Responsible Person and Alternate.

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:
• Legal Standards for Traffic Control Plans.
• Designing a series of traffic control plans that meet TMUTCD and TxDOT (TCP) requirements.
• Procedures for conducting periodic inspections of the traffic control setup.
• Importance of proper record keeping.
• A review of basic communication strategies for improved worker performance.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, a card valid for 4 years, and .8 CEUs from UTA's Public Works Institute.

Proof of attendance from a class on the approved list on Special Provision to Item 7 Contractor Responsible Person and Alternate in the previous 3 years.

UTA will contract with an organization to deliver a course at its location and at its convenience. Contract classes are best suited for organizations looking to train a minimum of 10 or more students. (Max class size of 20.)
