Workplace Violence: Prevention and Management

Violence in many different forms is occurring in all work settings across the country and is a major concern for all employers and employees. This course will cover the current OSHA definitions and guidelines related to workplace violence. The focus of this course is on increasing awareness of the risks for violence as well as proactive prevention and management strategies. The program includes SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression) training and certification in de-escalation techniques (assisting process). This is an excellent opportunity for front-line employees, safety and security personnel, and all managers, to gain skills that can help them provide a safe and secure environment for themselves, all employees, and customers/patients/clients.
