The Pollution Prevention (P2) Project provides free technical assistance for the automotive maintenance and manufacturing businesses within the regions of Grand Prairie, Texas and Arlington, Texas. Our mission is to support local automotive businesses by increasing their understanding of environmentally responsible practices, helping them reduce the risk of regulatory fines, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through sustainable operations. Businesses can receive technical assistance through scheduled phone or video consultations, on-site visits to their facilities, or participation in Pollution Prevention (P2) training sessions. El Proyecto de Prevención de la Contaminación ofrece asistencia técnica gratuita a las empresas de mantenimiento y fabricación de automóviles ubicadas en las regiones de Grand Prairie, Texas y Arlington, Texas. Nuestra misión es apoyar a los negocios locales al ampliar su comprensión sobres las practicas ambientalmente responsables, minimizar el riesgo de multas regulatorias e identificar oportunidades de ahorro de costos basados en operaciones sostenibles. What is Pollution Prevention (P2)?

Pollution Prevention (P2) is the act of reducing pollution by eliminating waste at the source rather than managing or disposing of the waste at the end of the process. Waiting to dispose of the waste can cause a bigger environmental footprint and create bigger disposal expenses for the business. Practicing P2 creates process improvements for businesses. Some benefits include increased overall operational productivity, the use of safer product alternatives, and reducing the necessary number of resources used. Our position is not as regulators; we are providing a voluntary and free service to businesses in automotive maintenance and manufacturing. With this project, we strive to aid businesses by preventing waste and providing guidance through the entire process of the project.
La Prevención de Contaminación es el acto de reducir contaminación desde el principio, en lugar de desecharlo al final del proceso. Esperando hasta el final puede generar una huella ambiental significante y ocasionar gastos mayores de eliminación para el negocio. La implementación de la P2 genera mejoras en los procesos del negocio. Algunos de sus beneficios incluyen un aumento en la productividad general, el uso de alternativas de productos más seguros, y la reducción de la cantidad de recursos necesarios. Nuestra función no es de reguladores; ofrecemos un servicio voluntario y gratis a los negocios del mantenimiento y manufactura de automóviles.
