Course Description

Do you watch HGTV and always wanted to know how to do-it-yourself? The Women's Home Improvement course 101 is a do-it-yourself hands-on course geared toward women who want to learn the basics of repairing and renovating their home. Why pay hundreds of dollars to have someone else repair your home when you can do-it-yourself.

You will learn simple steps on how to repair basic plumbing problems, replace electrical outlets and electrical wire splicing, and learn about basic interior painting techniques. This class is hands-on and will cover the basic tools and the proper usage. Although this class is geared toward women, anyone is welcome.

Some supplies are in addition to the course fee.

Women's home improvement 101 course will cover the following topics:

  • Basic tools and their usage

  • Types of screws and nails

  • Glues, Caulk, & putty's

  • Basic plumbing & electrical

  • Basic Painting Techniques
