The University of Texas at Arlington offers crane, rigging, and crane operator qualification training programs that combine classroom instruction with hands-on equipment operation. Topics include safety, inspections, preventive maintenance, OSHA requirements, and safe operating practices. Training is delivered at the client's location using client equipment.

Course Description:

This classroom-based course covers safety, OSHA regulations, pre-operational inspections, and preventive maintenance. Participants will also learn safe and effective equipment operation, including hand signaling, load chart interpretation, crane setup procedures, basic rigging principles, and safe hoisting practices.

Course Description:
Covers the safe operation of hydraulic cranes, including safety, OSHA regulations, inspections, preventive maintenance, crane setup, hand signaling, load chart interpretation, rigging, hoisting practices, and driving/steering operations for self-propelled cranes. Participants will demonstrate safe load lifting, maneuvering, and placement techniques.

Training is limited to 3 participants per machine to ensure adequate hands-on instruction.

Course Description:
Combines Crane Basics training with a hands-on field evaluation to verify operator proficiency. Ideal for experienced operators seeking formal instruction and skills validation. Participants will demonstrate crane setup, response to hand signals, and the safe hoisting and maneuvering of loads through a practical operating exercise.

Training is limited to 8 participants per machine to ensure adequate hands-on instruction.

Participants will learn the safe and proper practices required for rigging operations.

Course Description:

This course combines the Rigging Basics class with a field exercise in which students are required to demonstrate their knowledge of hand signaling by directing a crane operator to hoist and maneuver a load.
