Certified Food Manager

This two-day course follows the ANSI-approved ServSafe® food manager curriculum. It prepares students to take the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Exam (administered at end of the second day). It covers critical principles including personal hygiene, cross contamination, time and temperature, receiving and storage, food safety management systems, training hourly employees, and more.
For restaurants operating in the State of Texas, this course satisfies the requirement of Rule 229.177(b) that "One certified food manager must be employed by each food establishment permitted under HSC, §437.0055. Certification must be obtained by passing a department approved examination at an approved examination site and meeting all requirements in HSC, Chapter 438, Subchapter G, and §229.176 of this title (relating to Certification of Food Manager)."
