This course introduces the fundamental concepts and techniques of computer-aided design (CAD) using AutoCAD. Participants will develop the skills needed to create accurate 2D technical drawings and drafting documents used in engineering, architecture, manufacturing, and construction industries. Learners will explore the AutoCAD interface, drawing and editing tools, precision drafting techniques, annotation, layers, blocks, dimensioning, layouts, and plotting.

Emphasis is placed on industry-standard drafting practices, drawing organization, and the efficient production of professional-quality technical drawings. Participants will apply design and drafting principles while developing problem-solving skills and confidence in creating and modifying engineering and architectural drawings.

This course is intended for participants pursuing careers in design, drafting, engineering technology, architecture, construction, manufacturing, or related technical fields. No prior AutoCAD experience is required.
