Participants will learn how to create fiction that will resonate with readers and will take their first steps towards developing their own unique literary voice. Topics include narration, characterization, dialogue, conflict, plot and style. Participants will practice focusing on each of these core concepts in their own writing and will also learn the difference between literary and commercial fiction and find which one is right for you. Then consider similarities and differences between structuring short stories versus novels.
