TRANSPORTATION & PUBLIC WORKS TRAINING

The University of Texas at Arlington offers a third party evaluation of an organization's experienced heavy equipment operators.  The assessments involve a series of operator qualification tests relevant to a specific piece of equipment to verify and document operator competency.  The program will consist of a combination of classroom instruction with a series of field exercises where the employees demonstrate their ability to correctly perform a standard set of tasks.  At the conclusion of the classroom training, the instructor/evaluator will demonstrate a standard pre-operational inspection as a class group exercise. Students will then, in turn, be required to demonstrate their ability to perform the basic tasks which change dependent upon the piece of equipment involved.  Those who successfully complete the field examination will receive a certificate attesting to their successful completion.
