Participants will perform hands-on inspections using standardized PM checklists, identify maintenance issues, apply corrective actions, and learn the importance of consistent pre- and post-operation inspections. The course also covers the use of OEM manuals and inspection checklists. Comprehensive checklists for a variety of trucks and equipment are included.

Heavy Equipment Operator Training
PWI's Heavy Equipment Operator Training provides hands-on instruction for earthmoving, hoisting, and material handling equipment. Training covers safety, preventive maintenance, inspections, OSHA standards, and proper operating techniques through a combination of classroom instruction and practical equipment operation at the client's site using the client's equipment. The program is designed to build the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment.
The training is conducted at the client's site using the client's equipment.

Course Description:
Building on the LTP 110 eight-hour course, this expanded program provides advanced preventive maintenance training with an emphasis on hands-on learning. Participants will inspect six pieces of equipment over two days, learn preventive maintenance practices for severe weather, fire, and flooding events, explore the role of Fleet Telematics and Fleet Management Information Systems (FMIS), and discover best practices for developing and managing an effective in-house FMIS. Approximately half of the course is spent in the equipment yard performing practical inspections.

Course Description:
This course prepares participants to safely load, secure, and transport equipment on trailers and rollback trucks. Through classroom instruction and a hands-on field exercise, participants will learn DOT regulations, load distribution, tie-down calculations, proper use of chains and securement hardware, and safe loading and transport procedures. The field exercise includes inspecting a trailer and hauling vehicle, then loading and securing construction equipment using proper tie-down methods.
