Principles of Auditing

This course is designed to provide participants with the fundamental principles needed to conduct auditing activities related to regulatory compliance, contractual performance, or individual skills and knowledge. Participants will develop auditing skills including planning, procedures, evaluation, and management. The course will specifically address training audits, contractor performance audits, and compliance audits utilizing the Process Safety Management Standard 29 CFR 1910.119.
Notes:
This training will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, and no software download is required. Participants must have a PC or Mac computer with audio and video capabilities, and an uninterrupted internet connection. Participants must present a government-issued photo ID to attend this training.

James (Skipper) Kendrick
Skipper holds a BS degree in Industrial Technology, with a safety option, from Louisiana State University. He is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by examination. He is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Skipper is a recipient of ASSE's highest honor, that of being named a Society Fellow. He was selected as the recipient of ASSE's National Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year Award in 2000 and has also been recognized as Safety Professional of the Year for the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter (1985), Fort Worth Chapter (1989-90) and Region III (1988-89). Skipper also has been recognized as Bongarde SafetyXchange's National Safety Trainer of the Year.
