Course Description

Product releases at petroleum storage tanks (LPSTs) often require the installation and operation of remediation systems to minimize impacts on soil and groundwater. This course is designed to introduce environmental, health, and safety professionals to the steps and activities that are completed during the remediation phase at sites where soil and groundwater are contaminated by petroleum products. Topics to be covered include reviewing existing site data to identify potential data gaps, technology selection criteria, feasibility study options, system design and costing, installation and startup, and operation and performance monitoring. Activities and case studies will be used throughout the course to enable attendees to apply the knowledge gained from the course.
