This class is designed for the student who has taken the Beginning Watercolor class or has basic experience in Watercolor. We will continue to work on watercolor technique, composition, and color.

Palette (plastic) Needs to have sides to hold the liquid paint.
Brushes: #12 & #6 round & a 1" or 1 1/2" flat was brush (can wait until 2nd class if in doubt)
Surface to put paper on while painting. Needs to be able to hold up to water without bulking. (one can be purchased in class)
140lb. watercolor paper (cold press) - we will be working on 1/4 of a full sheet of w/c paper which is 11 x 15
water container (plastic) - flat, wide bottom, an example that works well is glad throw away storage bowls.
graphite paper - one piece
Colors: Ultra Marine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cad. Red Scarlet, New Gamboge or Cadmium yellow medium, Cad. Lemon, Burnt Sienna, Paynes Gray, Hookers green dark, burnt umber, yellow ochre or raw sienna. These are tubed colors, Grumbacher has a student grade paint called Acadamy - Winsor Newton has a student grade paint named Cotman. These are cheaper paints than the professional grade paints and are fine.
