The UT Arlington Division for Enterprise Development offers compliance assistance training for those managing environmental challenges or implementing environmental regulations in Air, Waste, Water and Management. Through training and education, you or your employees can play an active role in your sustainable compliance strategy. Visits from the EPA can be extremely expensive. MGE811 INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL LAW (Arlington, TX)

The Clean Air Act (CAA) requires facilities to implement robust air emission control practices which are regulated and enforced through a complex permitting process. During this class, the instructor will give an overview of the most pertinent CAA requirement including the New Source Review process, Title V permitting, Permit by Rule, and requirements for Hazardous Air Permitting. Using class room activities and presentations with a discussion of compliance and enforcement activities, students will gain an understanding of what requirements may apply to their facility(ies) and the path to compliance.
AIR201 FUNDAMENTALS OF THE CLEAN AIR ACT (ONLINE WEBINAR)

This course provides an introduction to the Clean Water Act (CWA) and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), to include the NPDES permit types for storm water, industrial wastewater, domestic wastewater, and pre-treatment. Case studies and class activities will be used to provide opportunities for participants to utilize knowledge gained during the course. The course will facilitate student's ability to attain and maintain compliance with applicable water and wastewater regulations, and to better understand how those regulations impact their organization.
Environmental compliance is the responsibility of all workers. The challenge is communicating and integrating environmental compliance into operations. Attendance and successful completion of this trainer course will provide the tools and the curriculum for course attendees to teach the EPA 8-Hour Environmental Hazard Awareness course. During the course, EPA topics will be reviewed and training techniques presented, to promote environmental awareness among workers and equip them to better protect human health and environmental resources.
ETI501 EPA OUTREACH TRAINER COURSE (La Marque, TX)

This course helps you save money by reducing pollution and complying with the Texas Waste Reduction Policy Act (WRPA). We offer this course in partnership with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Instructors come from both organizations. The course's framework is based on WRPA which requires Pollution Prevention (P2) planning for facilities that are a Large Quantity Generator, or Small Quantity Generator of hazardous waste or report on the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Form R. You will leave this course with the tools you need to create your Pollution Prevention plan.
