Since the tragic events of 9/11, Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina, the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, and many other contingencies, companies have been focusing on being better prepared for any event that could impact their ability to deliver products and services to their customers and stay in business. Many businesses are looking for individuals on staff or externally that have the knowledge to implement a Business continuity/disaster recovery program.

This 3-day course is designed to take the student from a novice level with little or no past experience to an advanced level of recovery planning ability using the new ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management International Standard. Attendees will leave this class with the knowledge of how to implement a business continuity program at their current or future place of business.

Students will be provided the templates required to develop a crisis management plan, departmental recovery plans, and a spreadsheet template for conducting a business impact analysis, and much more. The course fee includes the Certified Business Recovery Specialist certification exam issued by the International Business Recovery Institute.
