Portfolio: Techn for Socializing Individuals w/ ASD and/or Special Needs LIVE WEBCAST

This is an Online Webinar Course. There are no live meetings. You will see and hear the instructor and be able to chat with the instructor as well as your classmates. Class will start and end at the time indicated as if you were taking a live class. After you register for the class you will receive information as to how to access the class within 48 hours prior to the start of the class.

This is the final project for the Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness. Students will develop a treatment schedule detailing the technologies and teaching tools used to help ASD individuals become more social. The schedule must outline a week of activities including strategies. This project helps the participant plan, document and track winning learning strategies for motivating, managing and communicating with individuals with ASD.

Experienced special needs providers may be exempt from the ASD Portfolio Project requirement upon submission of complete documentation of strategies and technologies used to motivate socializing skills with ASD/special needs individuals. Previous documentation may be turned in a notebook format for instructor's approval.

Upon successful completion of the Portfolio Project, participants will be able to:

• Document Social Successes
• Develop a Blueprint for Success
