Whether you’re writing fiction or memoir, the characters involved should display both strengths and flaws.  Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer containing metallic powder, to create beautiful – and unique -- works of art.  The beauty comes from the broken places.  This session will bring together thoughts on kintsugi and on character development in fiction, and will allow participants to create their own beautifully flawed characters.
