Involuntary Autobiographical Memory (IAM) happens when a sensory input – such as a song, a scent or a taste – brings a person back to an earlier place and time in vivid memory. IAMs are not forced attempts to recall memory – they just happen. Participants will learn how to capture these memories and attendant insights in their journaling. Worksheets will be provided to help participants to get started.
