The Business Writing Basics course is designed for individuals who are, or will be responsible for creating business correspondence in the form of business letters, e-mail memos and messages. You will learn effective e-mail techniques and the structural/conceptual basics of the business letter. Topics include: format, punctuation, style, voice, sequence and editing tips. A portion of this class will be dedicated to the drafting and review of letters and e-mails. You will be given writing assignments and may also work on your own letters or e-mails during this time.
