Course Description

Ethics and Cultural Issues in the Treatment of Individuals with Special Needs is a required course for the Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness

Become familiar with the ethical and cultural aspects with understanding how individuals with Autism and special needs individuals are managed in this society. Some discussion time will be devoted to examining rural and urban environments, developed and developing regions. Additionally, a look at the various approaches to treatment protocols for individuals with ASD will be explored. Historical factors leading to the chartering of organizations dedicated to individuals with ASD and Codes for Ethical behavior will be examined. Upon Successful Completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Know How To Navigate Cultural Barriers
  • Develop a Global Perspective on Treatment of Special Needs Individual
  • Discuss Rural and Urban Development Issues.
