Safety Week 2014 and Free Seminars
The UT Arlington OSHA Education Center is offering a very special event - SAFETY WEEK 2014 features 16 half-day and one-day OSHA seminars, held in the DFW and greater Houston areas. Safety Week 2014 kicks off on April 28th, National Workers' Memorial Day, which includes free seminars on that day throughout the Region. Safety Week also includes a "Buy Two-Get One Free" special on all seminars and each course offered counts towards our new Public Sector Safety & Health Fundamentals certificate program.
UTA OSHA Education Center Launches Night School
Responding to the needs of the community-at-large, the UTA OSHA Education Center is launching NIGHT SCHOOL courses for the first time in our history. The initial schedule offers two of the OSHA Standards courses during evening hours at the UT Arlington location. Specifically, the OSHA #510 Standards for Construction course is scheduled on Monday/Wednesday 6 - 9:30 pm beginning April 7th, and the OSHA #511 Standards for General Industry course is scheduled on Tuesday/Thursday 6 - 9:30 pm beginning April 8th. Each course will run on this schedule over a four week period. Additional courses will follow at the Arlington location, along with expansion of the NIGHT SCHOOL curriculum to Houston, Austin, Southern Louisiana, and other locations in the near future. Registration is now open for the 47th Annual Transmission and Substation Design and Operation Symposium. The purpose of the symposium is to promote the exchange of ideas and experience for the benefit of those people concerned with transmission and substation design and development.
