Course Description

The Home Health Aide course prepares students to work with a very diverse group of people including but not limited to, those who are disabled, chronically ill, cognitively impaired, elderly, and mentally or physically disabled clients who need more care than their family or friends can provide. Training includes information regarding personal hygiene, safe transfer techniques, reading and recording vital signs, infection control, and basic nutrition. Aides' daily routine may vary. Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded a certificate of completion from the University of TEXAS Arlington.

Total Hours: 16 hours

Prequisites: Documentation of prior CNA program completion.
