National Safety Stand-Down

UT Arlington's OSHA Education Center, along with the other OSHA Training Institute Education Centers, participated in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA's) 2015 National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction on May 4 - 15, 2015 by holding several stand-downs throughout Region VI.
Over 875 workers participated in UT Arlington's stand-downs by taking a moment to address equipment inspections, specific job hazards, and other methods of fall protection. In 2014, OSHA's Fall Prevention Stand-Down reached over 1,000,000 workers and their goal for 2015 is to reach over 3,000,000 workers - or four out of every ten construction workers in the country.
