This education program is designed specifically for long term care professionals. The program will cover many of the current OSHA standards with specific application to long term care. This content will be beneficial to everyone who may be working in nursing homes and assisted living centers, including administrators, nurses, directors, supervisors and all staff. Enhancing the awareness of all employees of the potential health and safety hazards in their workplace and how these can be eliminated or minimized, will support the achievement of better patient outcomes and all organizational goals. Funding for this course is provided by a U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration Susan Harwood Grant.

- Bloodborne Pathogens & Prevention of Spread of Infectious Diseases
- Electrical Safety
- Walking and Working Surfaces
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans and Fire Protection, Subpart E & L
- Workplace Violence

Continuing Education Contact Hours
This activity is provider approved for 9.5 contact hours of Continuing Nursing Education by Workplace Nurses, LLC. Workplace Nurses, LLC, is an approved provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP 13654.
This educational offering has been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and approved for 9.50 clock hours and 9.50 participant hours.
