The following book clubs are located in Arlington and are presented by the Arlington Public Library.
Golden PAWS, established in October 2010, is a volunteer group dedicated to providing time and talent in support of Arlington Animal Services. Golden PAWS meets twice a month to share creativity in a fun social setting with the ultimate goal of helping shelter animals.
At Spice Club, you will learn about a different spice every month. Attend to discover a spice and receive a take-and-make kit featuring a variety of unique spices, herbs, or blends. Each kit will include: Information about the featured spice, its history with a few facts; two simple recipe suggestions; Small packet of the featured spice to try.
Share the joy of crochet with your fellow stitchers! You will be able to work on your own fiber arts projects and share them with the group as well as learn new and exciting stitches from each other. You should have a basic knowledge of crochet before joining this class. Children ages 9-12 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
Take your tastebuds on a trip around the world during Tea Time! Every culture has a connection to tea or coffee. At Tea Time, we will dive into the history of different teas, coffees, and other delicious drinks while enjoying a good cuppa’ ourselves. Drinks will be free, but supplies are limited.
Calling all quilters ready for a challenge! This fall we will guide you through the steps to make fun applique quilts on the first Wednesday of each month from September to December. This class is limited to the first 10 in attendance and is appropriate for ages 17+. Sewing machine experience is required and quilting experience is encouraged.
Do you need to practice your conversation skills as you learn English? This volunteer-led, drop-in program offers English language learners the opportunity to practice their conversational English in a relaxed, fun way at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.
This volunteer-led, drop-in program offers English language learners the opportunity to practice their conversational English in a relaxed, fun way. This conversation circle is geared toward the more advanced speaker who would like more practice with their conversational skills.
Do you need to practice your conversation skills as you learn English? If so, we have the group for you. This volunteer-led, drop-in program offers English language learners the opportunity to practice their conversational English in a relaxed, fun way. The group setting is informal so it is a great way to practice your skills without the formality of class. This group meets online via Zoom for two hours on Saturdays.
