National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) - Water Quality
The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) is a comprehensive program to manage pollutant discharges through a permitting process. The common sources of water pollutants are stormwater, sewer overflow systems, publicly-owned treatment works, concentrated animal feeding operations and industrial wastewater. During this course, the NPDES permitting process will be explored as well as the preservation of water quality.
