WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL/QUALIFIED FLAGGER

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This primary course is designed for personnel involved in the design, layout, and maintenance of traffic control devices on public roadways. It is also ideal for those performing or supervising flagger duties and meets training requirements for the Escort Flagger Certification under Texas law and Chapter 22 of the Basic Peace Officer Course.
COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:- Proper usage of common temporary control devices
- Components of a typical work zone
- Legal responsibilities
- How to lay out buffers, tapers, advance warning areas, and termination areas
- Demonstrating proper usage of hand signaling devices and flagging procedures
CERTIFICATE:
Participants who successfully finish the course will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Qualified Flagger wallet card valid for a period of 4 years.
