COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This hands-on course introduces field personnel to temporary traffic control for maintenance and short-term operations. It focuses on planning, applying, and managing work zones using Chapter 6 of the TMUTCD, covering work zone components, proper device usage, safety practices, and typical short-term applications to improve overall work zone safety and efficiency.

COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES :

• Elements of temporary traffic control found within chapter 6 of the "Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (TMUTCD)
• Components of a work zone and their respective requirements
• Proper application of devices
• Worker safety
• The use of typical applications most often utilized in short term operations

CERTIFICATE:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
