PIPELINE BASIC LOCATOR TRAINING

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This introductory training is designed for employees involved in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of gathering, transmission, and distribution pipeline systems. The course addresses pipeline-specific issues, regulatory requirements, locating challenges and industry best practices for damage prevention. Participants will also engage in interactive roundtable discussions that encourage knowledge sharing and discussion of real-world scenarios. Emphasis is placed on accurate locating techniques and safe excavation practices to support safe and efficient pipeline operations.
This training is especially recommended for pipeline employees and contractors with little or no prior experience in the pipeline industry who are seeking to build a strong foundation in pipeline locating and damage prevention practices.

- Review of One Call Laws, Line Marking Standards, and Line Locating Technologies
- Locating Best Practices and Challenges
- Damage Prevention, Equipment Operation, Improving Design and Construction
- Excavation Safety and Mastery of Technical Skill Exercises
CERTIFICATE:
Upon successful completion of the written and field tests, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
