Advanced Road Inspector Certification and Workshops

This series of workshops are designed to enhance the participants' abilities to thoroughly assess and evaluate highway construction projects. This goes beyond basic inspection tasks, pushing participants to understand more complex concepts and techniques that are critical to ensuring highway infrastructure is built to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance with regulations.

Participants will learn about the full scope of highway construction, from initial planning and design to final completion. They will be introduced to materials, construction techniques, equipment, and methods that are used in highway projects, including asphalt paving, concrete work, drainage systems, road markings, and signage installation. This knowledge will enable them to recognize the quality standards required at every stage of the construction process.

Taken in whole or in part, these workshops will provide a fascinating, hands-on educational experience designed to create highly skilled inspectors who are prepared to meet the challenges of modern highway construction projects.

The Advanced Road Inspector (ARI) Certification & Workshops were a training developed in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation.
