WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL/QUALIFIED FLAGGER
16 HOURS
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is the primary course for all personnel involved in the design, layout, and maintenance of traffic control devices on public roadways.
- COURSE CONTENT INCLUDES:
- Proper usage of common temporary traffic control devices
- Components of a typical work zone
- How to lay out buffers, tapers, advance warning areas, and termination areas
- Demonstrating proper usage of hand signaling devices and flagging procedures
CERTIFICATE:
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion, a Qualified Flagger card valid for 4 years, and 1.6 CEUs from UTA's Public Works Institute.
