What is Pollution Prevention?
Pollution Prevention (P2) focuses on reducing pollution at its source by preventing waste from being generated in the first place, rather than managing or disposing of it at the end of a process. Implementing P2 practices can create meaningful operational improvements while protecting the environment and communities they serve. We provide voluntary and confidential assistance to businesses in the automotive maintenance and manufacturing sectors. From identifying opportunities to supporting implementation, we strive to provide guidance throughout the entirety of participation to help businesses achieve lasting operational and environmental improvements.

Resource Exchange Network for Eliminating Waste (RENEW) - Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

A collaborative effort between The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the University of Texas at Arlington, the Resource Exchange Network for Eliminating Waste (RENEW) is a free database network where users can exchange materials with other individuals and businesses who seek to sell excess materials, by-products, and waste. The intent of the network is to encourage the reduction of industrial waste by reusing and recycling materials.
Pollution Prevention Reporting: Online Data Submission, Updating, and Availability - Texas Commission on Environmental QualityIndividuals that reside in Texas and are interested in participating in pollution prevention can find instructions in the TCEQ website on how to use the State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS) to submit mandatory permits, registrations, and reports.
