Course Description

Session Two - 1:00-2:30pm CDT (arrive by 12:30pm to check in)

Involving a Panel with members representing Institutional Review Boards, hospital chaplaincy services, and the legal profession, this educational session for registered nurses will present current views on the ethical, legal, and social issues related to genomics in healthcare. Nurses will be able to further their recognition of these ethical issues and explore how they can support patients and families appropriately. Audience participation, using the Second Life Chat function, will be encouraged.
